The National Trust for Historic Preservation has presented its Trustees Emeritus Award for Excellence in the Stewardship of Historic Sites to Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm.

The award was given to members of the Rembe family last Friday during the 2013 National Preservation Conference in Indianapolis, Ind. It was one of 18 award-winners honored by the National Trust.

“Los Poblanos is a true gem for the community and for visitors from across the globe,” said Stephanie Meeks, President of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. “Its natural beauty and comfort–combined with its fascinating history and character –make it one of the most magnificent historic properties in the Southwest.”

The National Preservation Awards are given to individuals, nonprofit organizations, public agencies and corporations that have advanced their communities through preservation of architectural and cultural heritage, according to the National Trust.
