ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Albuquerque residents have a chance to win exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences in the Duke City. You just might find yourself serving as the tour guide on the Tram, throwing the first pitch at an Isotopes game, getting the VIP treatment at an upcoming Isleta Amphitheater concert or even having your own label of New Mexico Piñon Coffee. All you have to do is invite your friends and family to come visit.

The Visit Albuquerque (Visit Albuquerque) is giving Albuquerque residents the opportunity to win these and other exclusive prizes by participating in the Visit Me In ABQ ePostcard campaign. The campaign urges locals to invite their friends and family to Albuquerque using fun and free ePostcards that display some of the city’s best features and rankings. The postcards can be customized and shared via email or other social networking outlets. The more ways you share the postcards, the more chances you have to win exclusive weekly prizes.

“Most of the marketing that we do for our destination is outside of our region, so residents don’t get an opportunity to see how Albuquerque is presented,” said Corrina Smith, Senior Marketing Manager at Visit Albuquerque. “This fun campaign encourages our locals to help us promote all that Albuquerque has to offer, tout recent national recognition of the city and have a chance to win some great prizes.”

Each Friday, a contest winner will be announced on the Visit Albuquerque Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/VisitABQ. The winner will get their choice of behind-the-scenes giveaways from around the community. To view all of the giveaways – from tequila tastings to a private cooking class with Chef Jim White – visit www.VisitMeInABQ.com and click on “Giveaway Details." The campaign runs through September 27, 2013.

The Visit Albuquerque is geared toward promoting the city to non-residents, but the www.ItsATrip.org website is a tremendous resource for those who live here as well. With a dynamic events calendar, it’s a great place to find out what’s happening around the city, get inspired to check out a new restaurant or discover an attraction you didn’t even know about. Visit Albuquerque’s resources will help residents be better in tune with our city and hopefully become even better ambassadors for the destination. Now, get to inviting everyone to come see you in Albuquerque!
