Albuquerque, NM – Are you looking for a unique way to engage your employees in some team building while bringing out their inner athlete? An exciting corporate tradition is set to re-emerge in 2013.

After much success with hosting the world-class athletes at the USATF Indoor Championships, the recent announcement of the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships and the annual Great Southwest Track & Field Classic, a tradition from years ago is set to return in 2013. The Corporate Cup Championships have been resurrected. The nationwide event was popular in the 1980s bringing together employees and executives from public and private businesses in a spirited track and field competition.

With the top-notch indoor facilities at the Albuquerque Convention Center, the new version of the Corporate Cup will be held February 16, 2013. Events will run from 8am – 3pm. Team plaques will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division at an awards presentation at 3pm on February 16th. The entry fee is $10 per event plus a registration fee.

Regional businesses will be split into three divisions based on number of employees – A Division: 2500 employees, B Division: 500-2500 employees, C Division: less than 500 employees. Within the team divisions, there will be four age divisions: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+.

The event is being produced in conjunction with the 4th Annual Great Southwest Track & Field Indoor Classic. The high school meet will take place in the evening from 6-9pm after the Corporate Cup is completed.

Tickets to both events will be $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and $2 for children under 12.
