Albuquerque Restaurant Week Returns for Second Helping

Restaurants to Offer Value-Priced Meals March 13-March 20
After a successful 2010 debut, Albuquerque Restaurant Week is back to celebrate its second birthday, March 13-20. The 2011 event is a Sunday-to Sunday celebration, with two dozen restaurants to date offering value-priced dinners.

In addition to New Mexico’s iconic cuisine, diners will have the opportunity to experience a diverse world of flavors and restaurant styles, at prices to please every budget. Three-course, prix-fixe dinners begin at just $25 for two for casual-dining restaurants, and fine-dining restaurants are $20, $30 or $40 per person, depending on the restaurant. Beverages, tax & gratuity are not included.

As with last year, the fun starts well before dinner, with a variety of daytime events, such as chef demonstrations; wine, beer and spirit tastings; cooking classes and more. Special rates also will be offered at several hotels throughout the state. In conjunction with ski season, New Mexico Restaurant Week 2011 provides a compelling reason to plan an economical “eat-stay-ski” vacation in the Land of Enchantment.

Albuquerque Restaurant Week sponsors include Sysco,, New Mexico Rail Runner Express, Citadel Broadcasting,, New Mexico Tourism Department, Edible Santa Fe, localflavor, Local IQ, Su Casa, Marble Brewery, Devine Limousine, Crown Royal, Patron, Gray Goose, Skyy, Absolut, Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Jim Beam, Antinori, Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Santa Rita, Sutter Home and Yellowtail.

Albuquerque Restaurant Week concludes a statewide event that kicks off in Las Cruces (February 20th -27th), continues in Taos (February 27th – March 6th) and Santa Fe (March 6th-13th). Participating restaurants in other New Mexico communities will be included in one of the regional Restaurant Weeks. All participants’ prix-fixe menus, contact information and maps are listed on, along with hotel discounts, special daytime events, sweepstakes sign-up and more. Participating restaurants fill up quickly, so advance reservations are suggested.
