Albuquerque Allows Meeting Planners to "Cook Up" Their Next Meeting Through New Incentive Program

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (June 19, 2014) - The Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau is offering a new group incentive for meeting planners, allowing them to choose the final ingredients to create their perfect event. The program, called Your Recipe for Success, features a culinary theme, playing on one of the destination's most well-known attributes.

Your Recipe for Success features four different packages, or "recipes", based on number of peak room nights for the group.

Small/Pequeno - 75-200 peak room nights - sample ingredients include: complimentary high-speed wireless internet, Starbucks gift card for each attendee and a 30-minute welcome reception

Medium/Mediano - 201-399 peak room nights - sample ingredients include: one complimentary room per 35 rooms booked, airport welcome banner and complimentary dine-around transportation

Large/Grande - 400-599 peak room nights - customized event microsite, complimentary convention center rental, a cultural performance and two hot air balloon ride gift certificates to be used as a door prize or incentive for early registration

Extra Large/Muy Grande - 600+ peak room nights - sample ingredients include: 10 VIP welcome amenities, passes to the Albuquerque Museum of Art & History for up to 150 attendees, three complimentary bonded registrars and a booking freeze for multi-year contracts

The city has invested over $300 million in recent and planned hospitality developments including hotels, offsite venues, area attractions and a $25 million convention center renovation, scheduled for completion in August 2014.

In addition to the upgrades, groups can also enjoy what Albuquerque has always been known for: affordability, beautiful weather and scenery, a multitude of outdoor recreation activities, unique culture and heritage offerings that can't be found anywhere else, and of course, cuisine.

"We've worked hard to put together ingredients that are meaningful and useful to groups, based on their specific sizes," said Robert Enriquez, vice president of convention sales, services and sports for ACVB. "This incentive offers meeting planners a fun way to tailor an experience that will be a perfect fit for their meeting."
