ACVB wins prestigious industry service awards

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) was recently awarded the Gold Service Award by Meetings & Conventions magazine subscribers, the Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine Award of Excellence and recognition by Facilities & Destinations magazine as a Top Destination.

Gold Service Award
Now in its 22nd year, the Gold Service Award Program honors Convention & Visitors Bureaus that have excelled in professionalism and dedication in their service to meeting professionals. This is the 10th time ACVB has been recognized with the Gold Service Award. The ACVB was one of 85 domestic and international CVBs to be honored with the recognition this year. The Gold Service Awards Program allows subscribers, who are corporate and association meeting/convention planners, to vote for the top convention and visitors bureaus throughout the world. This award selection is based on strict criteria including: professionalism of staff; support on hotel and site inspections; assistance with ground transportation planning; guidance on local attractions; and liaison with local vendors and services.

Award of Excellence
The annual Award of Excellence is given to a select group of convention and visitors bureaus that best served the corporate meetings and/or incentive travel markets in the past year. The award selection is based on superior service and support, promotional assistance, high levels of information, coordination and liaison, comprehensive assistance for accommodation and site inspections, and location. Winning convention and visitors bureaus are chosen annually by votes of the 40,000 subscribers of the Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine who are corporate meeting planners and key executives in the corporate and incentive travel industries. 

Top Destination Award
Facilities & Destinations magazine has recognized ACVB as an Elite Winner for 2006 Top Destination Award Winners. The destination winners are selected through nominations by meeting/event planners and industry members. The Awards of Excellence are an annual recognition of cities and venues awarded for going above and beyond in delivering quality service to the convention/meeting industry.
