#TrueABQFlavors Immersion Trip Gives National Foodie Influencers a Taste of Albuquerque

ACVB recently welcomed some serious foodies to ABQ to experience the exquisite cuisine found only in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (March 28, 2016) - Earlier this month, the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau-along with its partners-welcomed foodies from all across the country to Albuquerque and encouraged them to share their experiences across their extensive social channels. Coined #TrueABQFlavors, this trip was an enormous success and resulted in millions of impressions, hundreds of photos and countless positive comments about Albuquerque, its delicious cuisine, breathtaking landscapes and more.


"ACVB was honored to welcome a group of this caliber to Albuquerque to experience the city's amazing and diverse culinary scene," said ACVB President and CEO Tania Armenta. "We are very pleased with the results of the visit, and we hope the use of this hashtag will continue, leading to even more beautiful images of Albuquerque's unique and colorful cuisine."

In addition to staying at Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm and dining at noteworthy Albuquerque restaurants, the group took part in authentic Albuquerque experiences, including latte art and tango dancing at Golden Crown Panaderia, a brewery bike tour with Routes Bicycle Tours & Rentals, a traditional Pueblo oven bread baking demonstration at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, YogaRitas at El Pinto, and a hands-on fry bread workshop at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. The group also attended the 28th Annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show.

To date, use of the hashtag #TrueABQFlavors has resulted in more than 2.5 million Twitter impressions and 2 million Instagram impressions across a highly engaged audience.

These numbers will continue to grow as more people explore the #TrueABQFlavors hashtag and post their own photos of Albuquerque's incredible culinary scene.
