"Casino dance" is known outside of Cuba as "Cuban-Style Salsa Dance." This rich form of salsa dance is influenced by Cuban son, rumba, swing dance, mambo, chacha, and more. No experience is needed for the beginning class, so grab a friend and try something new!

Join host Ruben Vail for a very creative approach to a pretty standard event. This is not just an open mic night. It's also an open art/craft/play night. This three day event features the highest-paid bull riders in the world competing for the coveted Championship Buckle (and a cool million dollar bonus for the ultimate winner).

Postcards from Paradise: A Taste of Hawaii at The Cell Theatre

Why travel to Hawaii when you can just go to The Cell Theatre? This performance is set in the summer of 1959 when Hawaii joined the union. The Polynesian Paradise Dancers will create a faux vacation experience, complete with a surf lesson, tiki bar, island dancing and tourist snapshots. Don't be surprised if you find yourself fielding a beach ball or taking a vacation photo with the dancers staged to a Hawaiian backdrop. O-lei!

It's hard to beat a good combination of coffee and chocolate, and this is the southwest's largest event of its kind. Free games & face painting for the kids, cooking demos, baking contests and barista latte art contests for everyone to enjoy. Don't miss this one.

Gathering of Nations Pow Wow: April 24-26

It's hard to believe how quickly March is flying by, which means Gathering of Nations is right around the corner. This signature Albuquerque event features more than 3,000 participants, isles of shopping, native foods and of course North American's largest pow wow. Native music is enjoyed by participants all weekend long. Don't miss the crowning of Miss Indian World on Thursday night at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
